Surah Al-Maun

سُورَةُ المَاعُونِ

Surah Al-Maun is the 107th surah of the Quran. Its name means “Almsgiving”. It is a meccan surah of 7 verses, opening in juz 30 on page 602 of the mushaf. Below is the full Arabic text in Uthmani script with an English translation for every verse.

سُورَةُ المَاعُونِ

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ١ فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ٢ وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ٣ فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ٤ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ٥ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ٦ وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ٧

  1. 107:1

    Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

  2. 107:2

    For that is the one who drives away the orphan

  3. 107:3

    And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

  4. 107:4

    So woe to those who pray

  5. 107:5

    [But] who are heedless of their prayer -

  6. 107:6

    Those who make show [of their deeds]

  7. 107:7

    And withhold [simple] assistance.
